An Update for Our Community

To our St. Kilian’s Community:

Like you, we have spent the last few days trying to figure out how to adjust to changes in our community due to the evolving COVID-19 situation. So, we decided to share with you, all of our friends, family and customers, what we are doing here at St. Kilian’s.

While we have a business to run that deeply impacts us as owners, and our small team of employees, we also have a unique challenge and opportunity in our local community.  We want to do everything we can to have a positive impact on everyone involved, and that includes considering the well-being of those we serve.

With that in mind, we are open for business, and would like to share the steps we are taking to be able to continue to serve you and keep safety at the forefront of all our business practices:

  • We're monitoring developments of the situation, including guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and local health authorities, ready to update plans as needed to ensure we uphold our standard of safety for our community.
  • Our team of employees (all 6 of us) have committed to staying home from work if any symptoms form and we are committed to paying them in the event they need to miss work.
  • Out of an abundance of caution, we are suspending in-store sampling for customers until further notice.  While we always have cleaning practices and food handling procedures in place for safety, the restriction of our customers interaction with open food products will help improve the safety of our shop for everyone.  We know this is a big part of the experience at St. Kilian’s and we hope to be able to return to sampling as soon as possible.
  • We have increased our regular cleaning and implemented an additional sanitizing step for all surfaces in the store.  We are also minimizing contact between customers and employees with our payment systems.
  • We are always happy to pull an order for you in advance to lessen your time in public spaces.  We also offer local delivery via our website and orders can be placed by contacting us directly denvercheeseshop@gmail.com or 303-885-1090.
